* Notes about these prices:
- They are not based on catalogue values but on current dealer and auction listings. The reason for this is that catalogues tend to over-value stamps.
- They are average prices. The actual value of your stamp may be slightly above or below the listed value, depending on the overall condition of your stamp. Use these prices as a guide to determine the approximate value of your stamps.

La Mauricie National Park in Quebec was created in 1970 to preserve a sample of the Canadian Shield. The park contains the eroded remnants of Precambrian mountains, dotted with lakes and rivers left by the last Ice Age. It is located in a transition zone between the coniferous boreal forest and the deciduous forest of the St. Lawrence Lowlands. The park shelters more than 150 species of birds, many species of fish, and several mammals - especially beaver and otter, whose numbers have grown because the trapping of animals is prohibited in the park. The stamp design, by Quebec artist Lauréat Marois, shows Lake Wapizagonke, a popular site for canoe-camping. William Tibbles of Toronto provided the typography.
Lettering engraved by Yves Baril.
