* Notes about these prices:
- They are not based on catalogue values but on current dealer and auction listings. The reason for this is that catalogues tend to over-value stamps.
- They are average prices. The actual value of your stamp may be slightly above or below the listed value, depending on the overall condition of your stamp. Use these prices as a guide to determine the approximate value of your stamps.

Joining in the celebrations to mark Canada's 125th birthday, Canada Post Corporation is issuing a souvenir sheet of 12 stamps on June 29 depicting works of art by Canadian painters. To highlight this special historic occasion, these are the first diamond-shaped stamps to be issued by the Corporation. The theme of the stamps issued on this historic anniversary can be found in our national anthem: "Our home and native land/Terre de nos aïeux." Each painting depicts a "people place" locality associated with its province or territory in an upbeat atmosphere. A former fisherman who didn't put paint to canvas until he was 50 years old, Nova Scotian Joe Norris depicts one of his province's famous inlets and coves in "Cove Scene". His folk art is widely collected. With this historic stamp issue, Canada Post Corporation is proud to participate in this nation's most important anniversary since our Centennial in 1967.
Designed by Pierre-Yves Pelletier.
