Three new stamps are being added to the medium value Fruit Trees of Canada series to coincide with new postal rates for USA, second step domestic and international rate stamps. An heritage variety that is making a comeback, the "Snow Apple", or "Fameuse", derives its name from its snow-white pulp. Grown mainly in Quebec, it has also been successful in such other selected areas as the heritage orchard at Annapolis Royal Historic Gardens in Nova Scotia.
