The Finishing Touch
When you need a card for a special occasion, you know you'll be able to find it on the shelves of your local card shop. Why not get just the right stamp as well? Now you can with the new Greeting Stamps from Canada Post. These handy and attractive products allow users to customize their postage in a broad range of holiday and special-event themes. The self adhesive Greeting Stamps will be available in booklets of 5 sold at domestic-rate face value (5 x $.46)through the National Philatelic Centre and participating postal outlets. Each booklet includes stickers as well as an order form for Picture Postage.
An official first day cover showing the decorative frame will also be available.
Customized convenience
Each bi-fold booklet will contain five ornately decorated horizontal frames and accompanying stickers on a removable sheet. Measuring 40 mm x 31.5 mm, the frames form the perimeter of the custom stamp. They bear the denomination and indicate the country of origin. Once the frame is applied to an envelope, you choose from five special-occasion stickers that are also included. The 22 mm x 15 mm stickers include Heart, Writing Pen, Thank You, Maple Leaf, and Surprise motifs. Placing the sticker inside the frame completes the stamp and provides a quick and easy way to add a special touch to your correspondence.
The Greeting Stamps, part of a new generation of postage products that introduces Picture Postage, illustrates Canada Post's commitment to new and innovative product development.
