About Stamp

In Canada, postage due stamps were first issued to postmasters on 1st June, 1906, but the new system of collecting the postage-due money did not begin until a month later on 1st July, 1906. A design from a drawing with scroll work turned out at the top and in at the bottom. Across the top of the stamp immediately above the numeral value is the name "Canada." At the bottom are the words "Postage Due." In the center of the stamp, enclosed in a framework, is the numeral value, while the letter value appears below.
