This U.S.-rate stamp features a bright red cardinal, and is one of three stamps in this year’s annual Christmas Animals issue.
Ideal for sending Christmas cards and other holiday wishes to friends and family in the United States, illustrator Christiane Beauregard’s stamp depicts a cardinal sitting on a festive branch with a sprig of holly in its mouth.
As with all 2017 stamp issues, this stamp includes a reference to Canada's sesquicentennial. In this issue, the words 'Canada 150' have been underprinted on the stamp paper.
