About Stamp Series

Now in its eighth year, the annual issue for the Canada Post Community Foundation once again hopes to raise much-needed funding for grassroots and community-based organizations that provide life-changing services to children and youth. The extra dollar charged for each booklet of 10 stamps (and an extra 20¢ for each Official First Day Cover sold) goes directly to the Foundation, which has supported over 660 non-profit organizations since its creation. Thanks to the generosity of Canada Post’s customers, more than one million dollars was raised in 2018 alone, and Canada Post hopes to meet or exceed that amount this year for programs that have a positive impact on the lives of young Canadians.

The two-stamp issue, a first for Chad Roberts Design Ltd., is the work of creative director Chad Roberts, with illustrations by the studio’s senior designer, Joanna Todd. The colourful stamps – featuring whimsical frozen treats, strolling hand in
hand – kindle nostalgia for hot summer days and reminds us that growing up should be filled with sweet memories. It’s up to us to help make it that way.
