The JUNO Awards began as an annual poll of favourite singers, musicians and songwriters in RPM magazine in the 1960s. It evolved into an industry awards event in the 1970s, and over time has transformed into the star-studded annual awards event we know and love – not to mention, a year-long mandate to promote and celebrate Canadian artists and their music.
The JUNO Awards statuette has been redesigned many times. In honour of the 50th anniversary, a new statuette has been created and is featured on this special stamp.
