The hidden date on this stamp can be found in the bottom-right corner.

The subject of this stamp is intended to emphasize the wealth of forestry products manufactured from Canada's timber resources. On the left side of the stamp the main element of the design is a coniferous tree with a broad strip of wood unfurling toward the extreme right where it appears bleached and curved into paper. In the centre stands a simplified form of the type of mill which produces newsprint.
