Following last year's highly popular souvenir sheet featuring historic Canadian cars, in 1994, Canada Post Corporation presents Public Service Vehicles. These specialty streetcars, wagons, trucks and buses provided public transportation, and assisted in the maintenance of roads and in the provision of essential services. More than 40 years-ago, distinctive Canadian-built sightseeing buses appeared in the Rocky Mountains of Alberta. Their curved glass roofs and sleek aluminum styling identified them as products of Motor Coach Industries (MCI) of Winnipeg. They carried 33 passengers, featuring a rear engine and comfortable seating. The first Courier models were built during the war, continuing until 1960, including 30 of the Courier 50. Still the largest highway bus manufacturer in North America, MCI coaches can be found in Banff and every other part of North America.
