Swirls of ribbon, fireworks and clusters of confetti burst from an envelope on a dynamic PERMANENT™ domestic rate stamp sure to complement greetings of all sorts.
“Greeting cards have a place in all manner of celebration: birthdays, anniversaries, weddings—you name it,” says Liz Wong, Manager of Stamp Design and Production at Canada Post. “This issue is a tribute to these warm wishes that allow us, year after year, to take part in special occasions from a distance.”
The creative take on this year’s celebration stamp was designed by Debbie Adams, Creative Director at Adams+Associates Design Consultants in Toronto. “I decided to give this broad topic a new twist by associating it more directly with the mail,” she explains. “With ‘Celebration in the Mail’ as my theme, I began researching greeting card imagery.” Adams got the right feel by digitally mixing colours and experimenting with celebration symbols to make the stamp as fun as possible.
