About Stamp

On June 1, 2015, in Kansas City, MO, the U.S. Postal Service® will reissue the Wedding Cake two ounce rate mail-use stamp, (Non-denominated priced at 71 cents), in one design, in a pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) pane of 20 stamps. The stamp will go on sale nationwide June 1, 2015.

Sure to add a touch of beauty and romance to wedding correspondence, the Wedding Cake two-ounce rate Forever® stamps, first introduced in 2009, is a timeless addition to the U.S. Postal Service's Weddings series.

Often the centerpiece of a wedding reception, the cake has been a wedding tradition for many generations.

This stamp features a photograph of a three-tiered wedding cake topped with white flowers, their green stems and leaves a delightful contrast to the cake's cream-colored frosting.

The two-ounce, self-adhesive stamp is sold in sheets of 20, blocks of 10, and blocks of 4.

Pastry chef Peter Brett created and designed the cake, which was photographed by Renée Comet. The stamp was designed by art director Ethel Kessler.
