The Department issued a 1-cent regular postage stamp portraying Andrew Jackson, the seventh President of the United States, through the New York, N.Y., post office on March 22, 1963.
The design is based on a medal by Moritz Furst, which was struck by the U.S. Mint and issued in 1829.
