The Department issued the 5-cent Adlai Stevenson memorial stamp through the Bloomington, Ill., post office on October 23, 1965.
Lithography and intaglio printing will be combined in the production of this stamp, which is designed by George Samerjan of New York City. The portrait is based on a photograph by Philippe Halsman.
